Promotion of the 2026 Creative Design Project: KU Creative X-ACRP

The Center for Teaching and Learning at the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences is recruiting participants for the Creative Design Project: KU Creative X-ACRP. This program was expanded and restructured from the former extracurricular Self-Directed Creative Design Program (Creative Challenger Program: CCP) in 2025 to provide more systematic support for undergraduate students' creative activities.

  1. Program Overview

A. Background

  1. Growing importance of creative problem-solving competencies in modern society and increasing demand for Project-Based Learning (PBL)

  2. Greater emphasis on communication and collaboration experiences through interdisciplinary cooperation

  3. Rising demand for continuous and connected curricula rather than one-time exploratory or research experiences

B. Objectives

  1. Strengthen creative problem-solving skills through real-world, project-based activities

  2. Support the development of practical solutions and outcomes through professional feedback from industry experts and faculty advisors

  3. Enhance teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills through group activities

  4. Deepen creative problem-solving competencies through a structured progression from CRP to ACRP and ultimately KU Creative X certification

  1. Program Operation

A. Project Period

  • May 19, 2026 – December 8, 2026 (tentative)

B. Program Components

  • Recruitment and operation of both CRP and ACRP teams

  1. Creative Research Project (CRP)

  2. Advanced Creative Research Project (ACRP)

C. Benefits and Support

  • Opportunity to earn academic credit upon passing the mid-term evaluation

  • Continued project support throughout the program

  • Activity funding provided to each team

  • Prize awards for outstanding teams

  1. Eligibility

A. Creative Research Project (CRP)

  • Undergraduate students currently enrolled at Korea University Seoul Campus

B. Advanced Creative Research Project (ACRP)

  • Teams or team members who previously participated in CCP or CRP and are currently enrolled as undergraduate students

The following individuals are not eligible:

  • Students in extended semesters

  • Students who have completed coursework

  • Exchange students

  • Expelled students

  • Students who have withdrawn

  • Graduates (including those expected to graduate in August 2026)

※ Students on a leave of absence may participate in project activities; however, they are not eligible to receive activity funding or outstanding team awards.

  1. Application Information

A. Application Period

  • April 20, 2026 – May 8, 2026

B. Application Procedure

  • Apply through KUKAIVE and submit the application documents

  • All team members must submit individual online applications

  • Only one application package should be uploaded by the team leader on behalf of the team

  1. Expected Outcomes

A. Strengthen practical and creative problem-solving skills through participation in the full cycle of a real-world problem-based project

B. Gain implementation-oriented learning experiences and professional outcomes through feedback from industry experts and university advisors

C. Improve communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills through interdisciplinary cooperation

D. Continuously develop creative problem-solving competencies through a structured curriculum and share achievements through KU Creative X certification
