[Graduation] Submission of Graduation Requirements for August 2026 Graduation Candidates

Hello,

This is the College of Health Science Administrative Office.

Students expected to graduate in August 2026 (including those who have already completed coursework) are requested to review the following information and submit the required documents.

  1. Submission Period and Method

  • Submission Deadline: June 22, 2026 (Monday)

  • Submission Location: College of Health Science Administrative Office, Room 153, Building B, Hana Science Hall

※ Students who have completed all graduation credits but fail to submit the required graduation documents will be classified as course-completed students rather than graduates. Course-completed students are not permitted to enroll in additional courses or forfeit earned credits.

  • If an in-person visit is not possible, scanned copies may be submitted by email.

  • Email submissions must be sent from the student's official Korea University email account (@korea.ac.kr).

  1. Eligible Students

  • Students expected to graduate in August 2026, including currently enrolled students and course-completed students.

  • Applies to all programs, including primary majors, intensive majors, double majors, and multiple majors.

  1. Graduation Requirements

A. Official English Proficiency Test Score Report

  • Students must meet the English proficiency requirements established by their department.

  • Scores obtained during enrollment (after admission) may be accepted even if the validity period has expired.

B. Human Rights and Gender Equality Education Requirement
(For students admitted, transferred, or readmitted in 2017 or later)

Completion of the Human Rights and Gender Equality Education program is mandatory for graduation. Students who fail to meet this requirement will be classified as course-completed students.

  • Freshmen: At least once per year, for a total of four or more completions

  • Transfer students: At least once per year, for a total of two or more completions

  • Readmitted students: At least once per year beginning from the semester of readmission

  1. Additional Documents (If Applicable)

A. Core General Education Course Recognition Request

  • Students wishing to have previously completed general education courses recognized as Core General Education courses must submit a Core General Education Recognition Request Form.

※ Failure to submit the form will result in the course not being recognized as a Core General Education course, which may affect graduation eligibility.
※ Courses completed after the first semester of 2021 are not eligible for Core General Education recognition.

B. Chinese Character Proficiency Certification Exemption Request

  • Students in the Department of Health Policy and Management who had completed coursework as of February 2019 and wish to graduate in August 2026 must submit a Chinese Character Proficiency Certification Exemption Request Form.

※ Students who have already submitted related documentation do not need to submit it again.

C. Graduation Thesis Exemption Request

  • Students in the Division of Biosystems and Biomedical Science who had completed coursework as of August 2020 and wish to graduate in August 2026 must submit a Graduation Thesis Exemption Request Form.

※ Students who have already submitted a graduation thesis do not need to submit this form.

A. Update Personal Information in the Portal System

  1. Contact Information

  • Please ensure that your phone number, email address, and other personal information are up to date in the student portal.

  • Accurate contact information is necessary for urgent graduation-related notifications.

  1. English Name Correction

  • If the English name registered in the student record differs from the name shown on your passport, submit:

    • Application for Correction of Student Record Information

    • Copy of your passport

  • The application form must include the student's signature.

Example:

  • Hong Gil Dong → HONG, GIL DONG or HONG, GILDONG

※ The English name printed on the diploma will follow the student record.
※ Changes cannot be made after the diploma has been issued.
※ Differences between passport information and diploma information may cause problems when applying for study abroad programs, visas, or other international documents after graduation.
